Server reconfiguration
The support/development company that was supporting Warranty Management
Services, had received a recommendation for Focus from one of our
clients, who they do database development work for and Focus support
their infrastructure. They contacted Focus and asked us to consider
taking over another of their clients infrastructure support and
they could concentrate on the database and application development.
Focus contacted Warranty Management Services and agreed to resolve
their infrastructure issues. On investigation of the network configuration,
it was determined that an additional server had been unnecessarily
installed to carry out a function the domain server should be doing.
The domain server was reconfigured and the additional server was
retired. Nine months of issues were resolved in 4 hours. The developers
are happy that their client is now has somewhere to turn for infrastructure
support and they can concentrate on development.
When Warranty Management Services have a problem now, our phone
rings and it is fixed.
