eMail Solution
Bracknell Roofing, a construction company were having problems with the mail system provided by their Internet Service Provider which was proving to be extremely unreliable and significantly impacting upon their productivity.
After being continually frustrated by poor response times and endless helpdesk calls we were approached to develop a solution to their requirements.
After a full assessment of their requirements Focus Computer Services Limited were able to recommend and subsequently provided a fully managed mail solution in the form of a dedicated mail server running Microsoft Exchange 2000. The whole project including the purchase, installation and migration onto the new mail server was managed in such a way that the changeover was seamless and transparent to the end users in fact the only changes they noticed was an improvement in performance and reliability. To protect the company from the ever increasing risk of virus infection an anti-virus solution was installed and configured to provide maximum protection to incoming e-mails. This resulted in the immediate benefits of increased reliability, greater protection from virus threats also well as improvements to the security of the e-mails. Futhermore by bringing the mail service in house allowed the company to create new users and Email addresses in a matter of minutes rather days as previously.
The system is continually monitored by Focus Computer Services Limited to ensure that the customer can rely upon this important component of their IT infrastructure.
The company were able to justify the investment on reliability performance issues alone however what really impressed the client the most was the fact that we not only radically improved their E-mail service but actually implemented a cheaper and more flexible solution at the same time.
